Yes
O.k so it wasn't quite me it was one of my work colleagues but he allowed me to photograph them ( crappy smart phone) They appeared to be contact prints mainly of 9X6 negs or there about. They were found in the Lawnswood area in Dudley and rather shockingly had been thrown out with the recycling. I will post them up here, I have not included some as they didn't seem relevant apart from to the family at that time.

There are some much more interesting photos to come but here are a few of the more boring one ( to me at least)

Gorgeous.

Sadly when we go this is what happens to our stuff. Binned. The consolation is that the people in these pictures and their families probably got a lot of pleasure from these.

Fascinating look into our everyday history, while many of the rich and famous and the aspects of history that attact historians etc are catalogued - every day life of 'jo bloggs and family' is often missed and that creates a skew on our future understanding of how our nation became what it is. May be worth contacting the National Archive and see if they would be interested in the album - https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/research-guides/photographs/

No doubt a lot can be saved.

I think the original is better. The so called "improved" one has no details whatsoever.
It was only a quick effort as I said. I am not going to spend hours on someone elses photos as I did on one of my own parents old colour photo
original of my late parents

and took a lot of time to get to this

and still really needs more work on it but it is too upsetting to do as they passed away back in the 1980's

Lawnswood was a wood back in the 1930's. Now it's a very affluent area with some private roads in what's left of the woods.

I'd say that the photo's were of an upwardly mobile family that could have lived in a poor area and built up enough wealth to move to Lawnswood. Now that family may have died and this is from an house clearance, Possibly ask around where the photo's were found?

Just surmising knowing the area well.

The photos are fine as they are. Definitley don't need 'colourising'.
