I have a Gitup Git 2 action cam that can take raw images but I can't import them into Lightroom 4. Lightroom says they are in an unsupported format. I have read somewhere that they need to be converted to DNG file, so I downloaded Adobe's DNG converter but it won't accept them either. Someone else is having the same problem on the Gitup forum but no one has offered any help. I was hoping someone on here might be able to help me?

Is it the converter in the link or Adobe dng converter that provides a dng file that Lightroom 4 won't open or both?

Have you tried rawtherapee?

There is little chance the lightroom 4 will ever be able to open yor git raw files as lightroom 4 came out first. Though the latest version of lightroom may be able to.
The raw processor in lightroom is never forward compatible, for obvious reasons.

Rich, It's the Adobe DNG converter that won't accept the raw photo file from the camera.

Thanks Neil, did you try the DNG converter in the link?

I have the latest version 6 of lightroom, if you want me to have a try opening it, PM me and we can sort something out for sending me the Git RAW file

It certainly is! That's the converter I said won't accept the image. Please cut out the sarcasm, it really isn't very helpfull. But thanks for reading anyway.
Wasn't meant to be sarcastic, just that there is a lot of useful information out there and besides you didn't mention exactly what converter you had tried..Was only trying to help
