hubby left me last night to go a nice long 6 ish month holiday..

pity he took me blinking zoom .
pity he had to go..

but looking ofrawrd to the the pic's he may get not gonna be as good as Rob's but hay ho

Mmm...Summer Tour...luvverly - NOT!

Maybe start up a new parcel-fund? Though hopefully those of you who helped me out will still be sending stuff out to the Combat Camera Team in Bastion (which rotates personnel every three months unlike us poor Brigade Phots who do the full six-monthers...lol)...

me thinks that after the north east weather the weather out there is gonna take some getting used to.

Chin up Terri, we are thinking of him and willing him to keep safe. Though why the hell you let him take ANY of your camera gear is beyond me, you KNOW what he is like when on tour :help:
 
What job's he doing there and where will he be based?
Summer Tour is far more effort if 'outside' the wire and not much more fun if confined to a MOB, FOB or PB...
There is ice-cream available at lunchtime in the main cookhouses though...so it's not all doom and gloom...

6 months will fly by before you know it.
Tell him to keep safe and while he's gone we'll do our best to keep you company.

(I said that second bit as if it was a good thing :cuckoo: But I guess you can at least try to put up with us for the next 6 months ;) )

Thanks Guys for the replys.. Cobra please do not worry i take the p sometimes and call it his summer holidays.

Yv he took th D50 with the old kit lens and my tamron.. i'm saving to replace the tamron. oh and i better not be getting any more of those messages i can tell you...more accident prone than anyone i know


Rob From what i can gather he is going to be out for a fair bit of it but i am just a wife so who know.

With a bit of luck, you'll be able to get him to get you a VR when he breaks your Tamron! He'll be back with just the right timing for Christmas.

Emm i seem to remember the last time he was on a holiday like this it was comments like that that got me what i was told i needed.. so keep it up.
