Although that is a recent dated article I am fairly sure the name and the description of the responss etc are familiar, as in read the almost identical article but some time back

That particular businesswoman is fortunate that she does not live in the litigious USA

Indeed, I feel sorry for those poor couples who have been let down by this person.

I do feel for the couples who have lost out since it's understandable to be disappointed and I think what is particularly frustrating is knowing the video exists but not being able to get it. The response from the videographer leaves a lot to be desired and I can't see how family issues would prevent her communicating with couples she can't make it nor being able to hand over video even unedited.

I'm supprised it doesnt happen all the time.
Theres so many people now doing wedding, everybody and his cat is a wedding photographer. There must be people getting out of their depth or worse scamming people. It must happen a lot.

The article mentions that in some cases she did offer to hand over uneditied video - but on the condition that doing so absolved her of any further obligations, no refunds allowed, no subsequent edited versions to be provided, etc.
Unsurprisingly people didn't take up this offer.

I note this report re: Kent Police investigation

Also, having looked at her FB page......

Clearly (understandably) she has left only the positive & understanding client posts.

Though, having read her responses/explanation I surmise that yes she has had personal issues but her talking about her methods comes across as quite chaotic including how she describes the "raw footage".

One can have sympathy for anyone experiencing health (or family etc) issues but as some of the injured parties are talking about weddings in 2022......just why didn't she mitigate in some manner for being overwhelmed by the work she was doing to ensure she finalised work as well as(?) took on new jobs. Sadly come what may she somehow made a 'rod for her own back' :(

Ooops all a bit of a mess...
Its one thing to hold your hands up and say, nope , just have your raw footage back, but not sure how she can get away with saying this...

"The videographer asked people to send them to her partner’s business, before clarifying some people may not get the exact hard drive back they had sent in."

I saw that quoted too. It was another aspect of the chaotic manner in handling & processing of clients 'footage' and in this case property :headbang:
