HP Photosmart Premium Problem...

I have a HP Photosmart Premium or 309g printer as its called.

Within the last week I can't get it to print out any black text and the colours seem a bit wishy washy.

I've tried using the printer alignment programme but that fails. If I get it to do any print test black doesn't come out.

The weird thing is both black ink cartridges, according to the printer, are virtually full!

It has told me there's a problem with the magenta cartridge.

Any thoughts on what the problem is?

I recently bought a HP Photosmart Plus All-in-One Printer which refused to print out black text. I'd replaced the black demo cartridge and after I'd printed out about 10 photos and as many word docs it just refused to print out black text.

The display told me all the ink levels were fine! I bought a replacement black cartridge and it's worked ok ever since, although it's an ink guzzler.
