If anyone owns one of these printers this is worth taking note of.

I've had my printer a couple of years and the images were loosing the magenta from the printouts. The printer reported the magenta toner cartridge half full, but I bought a new one, in case it had "gone off"

Images improved a little, but not very much at all.

I found the solution to the problem, with this article:

HP Colour LaserJet Fading Fix | The Reeves-Hall Family

Now you can either strip the printer down, as detailed in the instructions, or simply phone the number for HP and give them your printer model number, and tell them the print is fading. See my comments further down the article.

Thanks for the heads up. I've got the exact same fault on mine, so tomorrow I'm going to be on the phone to HP.
 
Well I really can't say more than WOW!

Went through the problem with HP using the details from the above link. Had to do a config report and try to update the firmware. As soon as that made no difference I was told it will be swapped out tomorrow.

Let's hope the new machine works.
 
Just had mine delivered. Thanks again for the heads up, Steve. Well chuffed especially as the printer was over a year out of warranty.
