Okay, here's the deal,

I've very little money to spend and I've got 2 lenses requiring Polarising filters. One is a 58mm and the other a 62mm.

I've read that Hoya Pro 1 polarisers are the best but I can't afford to buy one for each lens. What I need to decide is whether to buy a 62mm one plus a step up ring for my 58mm lens so it can be used (this option my finace thinks is a bad idea!!)

OR

Do I go for cheaper polarisers such as Hoya Green series ones but buy one for each lens??

My fiance has used a jessops own brand polariser and he says he's never had any problem with it.

Help much appreciated!!

Without doubt, get the 62mm Pro 1D and a step ring. I use 77mm CPL's on my lenses with step rings if they're only 72mm filter threads.

Cheap filters won't do you any favours.

I use one polariser that's big enough to fit on my largest diameter lenses and use stepping rings for the smaller lenses. Why compromise the quality of your lenses with inferior filters?

Go for the quality filter.

I bought an el cheapo polariser last year and it was a poor performer.
Money down the drain.
