Hoya CPL 77mm slim filter £48.94

Came across this whilst looking for a 77mm CPL filter Hoya 77mm CPL slim filter possible deal at £48.94 (uk store)

Well it arrived.... Yep its slim alright 5mm from top of the thread to top of the filter (inc the rotating rim)... 1mm thicker than my B+W 77mm pro UV filter - which seems pretty good to me....

Can you fit a lens cap on the end of this? I have a B&W Slim UV filter and cannot get a lens cap to grip (too slim).

The centre pinch cap from my Nikon 28-70 2.8 fits on the end of this - just like normal...

At a close look at this CPL compared to the B+W UV there isnt really that much difference in the width... I did say earlier 1mm - but its more like 0.5mm...
