Hi everyone
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Sandra (aka Sandy) and I am new to this forum and am looking forward to sharing my photos here. My husband (he is the Scotsman) and I got our first DSLR camera (Nikon D3000) last July - just before our vacation to South Africa. We took pics on the auto mode the whole time, though, and then took a DSLR photography course after we got back. It is amazing how much we have learnt. One of our projects was candid street photography and I really enjoyed it and have since gone about with our camera just snapping away trying to get good shots. Hope to share some of my pics on this forum.

We also have a photoblog which we hope you will visit every now and then
We are having a lot of fun with this blog and it inspires us to take pictures and share them.

I know I am an amature - is it ok for me to join this forum?? I have been lurking here the last few days and really enjoyed reading the posts.

Anyway, take care and I am looking forward to geting to know you all and make new friends

Thanks Adam. Yes Vivian Maier is an inspiration.

My husband also got me an early valentines prezzie - a book called "Street Photography Now". Also quite inspiring. Anyone else seen this book?
