Well I've spent many pennies and am ready to start my little adventure down photography lane. Hope to chat with most of you and get some great tips and advice.....you tube can only teach me so much lol.

I live in the North East of England near to Durham so if you're nearby then let me know what's happening nearby and I'll come out to play.

Hi there Alan and welcome.

There are a number of "boys in blue", both serving and retired, who use this forum, we must be close to having a decent football team now lol!!

Feel free to ask for help here, most members are very helpful, you will find some extremely talented "toggers" here too, whom I find inspirational.

One word of warning before I close. You are entering the world of the skint but happy because, and this surprised me, today's digital photography is blooming expensive! At least you are amongst like minded people who also feel the pain!!

Welcome to TP, this is one of the best places on the net to get advice and learn about photography, so you've made a great start, just get out there and play and have fun, don't forget to check out the guides and tutorials section :thumbs: some great information there :thumbs: and also pay a visit to out new creative section :thumbs: where to boundaries really get pushed :D
