Yes
Had massive panic stations tonight.

Set up all my gear, camera on tripod, set up focal lengths etc etc the set up my new flash on the old tripod then set up the other flash just stood on the table.
gets the all set and working lovely then leans over the table to adjust books that I was shooting and as I brought my arm back I knocked the flash onto the tiled floor, now it bounced then spewed the batteries all over the floor and came to a standstill, with me cursing very loudly and not looking on the bright side.

Picked it up inspected it and the trigger that it was attached too, put the batteries back in and it worked, more to my suprize.

Lucky boy me tonight

My jessops flash has been run over 3 times by mountain bikes and has fallen over many times. The cosmetics are battered, but it still works fine!

Sat on, dropped in puddle, drop it on rocks and my SB800 works every time. Saying that, every flash I've ever owned (550EX, SB26, SB28, SB28DX and SB800) has been tough like that. usually the most problematic thing with flashguns is the contact points, which wear over time and create a loose fit. :)

This is all good to hear, never dropped or knocked a flash off before.

Good to know they are tough, saves the panic next time

Judging by the state of my SB800 (bought from someone on here) it's been used as a football - still working perfectly though and there are no concerns about sticking it somewhere it shouldn't be......*

*maybe I should rephrase that :naughty:

LOL! Never had any accidents with any of my kit so far (with the exception of a 50mm f/1.8 that rolled out of the camera bag and fell onto fluffy carpet but still broke!) so it's good to know that flashguns are built to last! :)

Would that be on full power/zoom?

My SB600 was attached to my D2x and both fell down a 40ft marble staircase closely followed by my Dad (broke his arm but he is fine), D2x just got a small cosmetic mark, the flash snapped off just above the hotshoe and pulled a wire out, resoldered the wire and bonded the snapped plastic back together and it works perfect. They are definitely built solidly

Doesn't surprise me at all, if it were a lens or a camera I'd be more worried!:|
