Yes
I wonder if I can be so bold as to ask a question. Does any one know how to remove to stain on glass left buy iron content in bore water? Yes thre are no doubt local sources here that may know but I thought I would just ask the forum ,there may indeed be a chemist amongst us.

White vinegar may remove it if soaked.
Some toilet bleaches remove rust too.
Car detailing suppliers will carry iron off products.

Try making a paste from Sod. Bi-carb and water then rub with a soft cloth.

Thank you Gav and Arclight for your response .I should have mentioned that the stain is on a solar panel and I must be careful not to scratch the surface. I am going to try CRC as this may soften the stain Thanks again.

Ah! a question?

Is the glass covering PV solar panels standard glass? IIRC the ones I have seen on rooves tend to have a slightly matt appearance...... implying to me that they might have a special surface coating, that some cleaning methods could damage and affect the PV panel efficiency???

WD40, petrol lighter fluid or vinegar?

How is bore water getting on your solar panels in the first place ???
I live in an area that could be prone to bushfire . Like a lot of my neighbors I have a deluge water sprinkler system over my house and surrounds . Unfortunately the water from the bore does have an iron content and the solar array does cop some of the spray. I have tried the CRC or as you may call it WD40 and it seems to be working.P1010181.JPG
