Hi all,

I have the Manfrotto 327RC2 Tripod Head. I really like the way it works but I've noticed recently that it's very slowly tipping when it should be securely clamped (with the lever released).

I have recently acquired a heavier setup but I'm fairly sure that the head is less tight than it used to be. So, my question is - can it be tightened? And if so, how?

There appears to be a number of allen key holes in the head but I've no idea which you would use, or if you're supposed to adjust them?

If you're interested in more specific information, I'm using a D700, grip and Nikon 24-70mm f2.8. The head has a load capacity of 5.5kg. The D700 is 995g, the 24-70mm is 900g and the grip is 290g, so I should well under the working weight.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! (I have tried searching online before submitting this post.)

Ozei - you're absolutely right! That's the one.

I've no idea how you found that but I thank you very much.

It's working perfectly again now. Case closed!
(The only slightly confusing thing is that you turn it left to tighten it, which I'm fairly sure goes against all conventional wisdom!)

Just found this after a Google search - worked for me too. Ta.
