Hi i go regularly to a car show near me and i was wondering how best tp get photos of the cars. They are all stationary so i don't have to worry about panning etc. (not to sure what panning is but i dont think i will needed it) what other things would i need to take into account. Any advice on how to get the best photos would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Simon

car shots at a show is not easy, you have no control over the positioning of the car and people walking in and about your shots.

Just try to frame the shot the best you can and get some close shots showing the details of the car.

just take plenty of shots and you will soon see what works best :)

Thank you guys for the help and ideas, the next meet isn't for a while so i will get practising and put up some photos after. A question tho, as there are other people around and normally they take place in the evening, would you suggest in getting a dedicated flash or light box?
Thanks
Simon

I tend to do most of my shoots during the daylight but if i have to shoot at night or low light i would use a tripod rather than any flash photography. I just prefer the lighting with the longer exposure shots you can achieve with the tripod.
