I've just got a new pc and it's displaying raw thumbnail previews in folders, as in I can see a preview of the picture even though it's a raw file and this isn't what I want as I'm seeing two previews for each picture, one raw and one jpeg. What I want is to see a generic thumbnail for raws and a preview thumbnail for jpegs and tiffs. With previous pc's this has always been possible when I've disabled the ability to display raws using regedit as follows...
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes\.dng
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.dng
and deleting the relevant extensions I want to disable such as .DNG.
But, even though I've deleted the extensions it's not working with this pc and it's still displaying the raw thumbnail preview so I can only assume the ability is hidden somewhere else but I can't see any extensions in the locations in regedit detailed above.
Any ideas anyone?
