I am sure I am not dreaming but the other day I think I managed to show the focus point used when viewing a picture in CS4. Now for the life of me I cannot find any option to do this and even with PS help I cant see any option?

It came up as a red box over the actual focus point when I did it before

Anyone offer any help?

I don't think photoshop supports this, are you sure it wasn't nikon view or NX?

I have CS2, but this does not show the focus point used. However, I also use Canons Zoom Browser to view images, and this allows you to see both the focus point used and shooting values- hence it was probably a Nikon programme that you used.

Bear in mind that if you use the focus and recompose technique then the focus point on a resultant image is useless information - it'll just show which of the cameras focus points was used, not what it actually focussed on . . .

This threw me a while back, I was  trying to work out what was going on in Canon's DPP and the penny dropped duh
