How to recreate a particular sepia tone?

There is a Black & White photo i saw recently with a kind of greyish blue tint that i love. How can I recreate the same sepia tone? I've tried the eyedropper tool to sample a 'mid' tone and then use that tone to fill a layer and blend that (overlay) with my black and white conversion adjusting opacity to come close. And it's close but is just not the same.

Is there a way to 'copy' the same tone more accurately? Short of trial and error endlessly adjusting the Hue & Saturation in 'Tint' (B&W function).

Can you post a link to the shot in question?

That just looks like a B&W conversion with it being in the blue channel if you know what I mean.

Edit: Try to explain a bit better ... When I convert to B&W in my software, the screen it brings up gives the option of a colour filter, this is where I would select blue for that kind of effect.

It's more likely to be selenium toning rather than sepia (or an electronic version of)

You can get fairly close with photoshop by going to hue/saturation clicking the colourise box setting the hue somewhere around 207 and the saturation around 2 or 3.

That's sort of what i did! And i got exactly the same hue number of 207! Saturation i got was 7 which is slightly higher than yours. I imported the image into photoshop. Copied it. And played around with the 'Tint' hue/saturation (B&W function) until i got close to the original. And that's it really. Close, but not exactly the same. I guess I'll just have to live with it! (unless somebody has better ideas).

BW Gradient Map, set to Color, 100%.

Then go to Photo Filters, and select Underwater.

Thanks! Looks very close! But what is the significance of using the BW Gradient Map and using the Color blend mode? Is it the same if i do a simple B+W adjustment layer or desaturate and then use the Photo Filter?
