What settings will give me best results? Will be in a daylit room with the aquarium light on. I can't seem to get fast shutter speeds and the fish are blurry.

Thanks in advance

We went to The Deep in Hull a little while ago and I took the shots below. They are not the best but it was my first real attempt at something like that. There is still a bit of blur, but with some fine tuning of the kind of settings I used I'm sure you could nail it...

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/5.6
Focal Length: 20 mm
ISO Speed: 400

On this next one I used a higher ISO but paid the price with noise.

Exposure: 0.033 sec (1/30)
Aperture: f/4.5
Focal Length: 10 mm
ISO Speed: 1600

HTH :)

Edit: Forgot to add they were hand held. I'm sure if I had been using a tripod it would have helped dramatically too.

Take the tank hood off and position an off camera flash above the water pointing down. Keep the rest of the room dark. Shoot away
