I was in the co-op recently, buying a few bits, when a message came over the tannoy system.
Something like "we apologise for the lack of some products and we are doing our best to increase panic buying
stocks the best we can. Please bare with us at this time"

Non of the shelves appeared to be empty to me.

I noticed a sign in the co-op saying roughly the same thing. It was sited at the crisps section which was rather empty.

And yet, next door ( literally) in Tesco express no such signs or announcements, and the shelves are all very well stocked.
Just that the local one doesn't sell a couple of bits that I buy.

It'll all be back to normal next week when this self isolation thing finishes
Co-op are probably trying to clear overstocking by getting people to panic buy ;)
TBH we haven't had any shortages down here

Love the typo! And Chris's response.

so who's panic buying kitchen units, and cement, 2x4 timber and inch 8 screws, 15mm compression equal tee's and 4 inch fan grills
the shelves are definitely empty and have been for months, food....not so much.

Yeah I was in Wickes yesterday and noticed they are limiting purchasing of cement.

People have been locked in for like 18 months looking at their old kitchen....
