How to get this look

I was wondering how this photographer gets his look? And what I mean is, to my eyes, there's a sort of 3D'ness in his photos. Is it just shallow depth of field? But more than that, a lot of the photos kind of look like they're shot indoors. They're not of course, but I really like that look. It's almost like they have a photo studio quality, and yet they're candid photos from the street.

many shot from the hip, or at least quite a low angle.

Thanks Tim. Right yes, that is probably the key thing, it must be flash giving that look. He's probably holding one off camera. But I wonder what sort of direction he holds it. Most daytime street photography flash photos I've seen have a harsher and more kind of in your face look (which I like as well) whereas if this guy is using flash, it has a very subtle look that doesn't make it seem like obvious flash photography. Also yes, he seems to have very good natural light as well in all his picture.

Lol, yeah. But It's not the compositions I'm concerned about but just the way the lighting looks in all his photos.
 
I think there montages. The main subject has different lighting to the background, not just explained by fill flash, direction, intensity, quality. The main subject also looks posed to my eye. Very good though.

Apologies; I tried several times to respond to this, and clearly still didn’t manage what I wanted.

The answer to the OP has already been posted. It’s there for all to see. And it’s close to what some of us had guessed.
