Hi,

I have been taking photos for several years now, but I have never got into the photoshop side of things. Im trying to get some of my photos to be really colourful like some of the below images, the camera setup and settings seem to be fairly similar so I have come to the conclusion that most of the changes are being made in photoshop.

Does anyone have any ideas how It is done?

I have tried boosting the saturation but sometimes going to the extreme with this will make people look orange and create noise!

Thanks for the help

Tom

Once I get back to my home computer I can post some pictures of my attempts to get a similar colour!

Thanks

You could try, duplicate the layer, set the blend mode to overlay or soft light and ajust the opacity of the layer to fine tune it.

Yep, they're not great images really. One way to snap up saturation is by using the individual sliders in Ps. Another method is to use LAB Curves in Ps

and another method (as mentioned above) is to use the Bi Color filters in Nik's Color Efex Pro 4 (using the brush mode). This plug in is pretty good when it comes to easy colour editing and is recommended.
