tried the link on the bag and it didnt seem to work, does anyone have a link for it as search isnt finding it.

For a Flashinthepan softbox

My technique for the smaller softbox is get it flat then grab the middle of a long side and then an opposite corner and give it a good twist and it 'should' just turn into the circle of three layers. Sometimes takes a couple of goes but gets there normally within a few seconds.

(Does that make sense?)

EDIT: Just watched the video. Nice moves, and nice sandles.....

I think my way is easier.

ahh crap, tried it in the video and now its all bent out of shape and doesnt open properly

:(

FITP explains how to untwist it in his for sale thread.

If one of the sides is bending inwards then it sounds like you've twisted the frame by folding it the wrong way. Depending on how bad it is then you should still be able to straighten it up again by running your hand around the edge of the frame until you find the bit that you've twisted and then gently easing it back round into place.

I have the bigger 32" softbox.
Never did manage to get it back in the bag. Too afraid of breaking it if I keep on twisting it in different ways. I just leave it collapsed in the flat triangle shape which hasn't been too much hassle so far.

i have to admit that they're not the easiest things to fold back up . I found you have to use quite abit more force than you think at first and give it afew goes befire it folds .

Me too. Do you think you swore as much as me?

You have to make sure the opening is to the top if following the method in the video, otherwise what you're doing is trying to fold it against it's natural way of collapsing.

Here's a link to Lastolite's instructions for folding the Ezybox - not that they'll leave you any the wiser....

I found the best way to watch the video is to constantly keep pausing and un-pausing it so you can see exactly which sides he's folding.

Thanks a lot for this precision, iy will not work if you don't do it, opening to the top!
