I was given a CANON EOS 40D by a Lady Camera Club Member -- it suddenly would not switch on -- there was NO 'ERROR' message or anything - I bought a new battery -- I gave it to another Club Member who is a 'CANON EXPERT' and he found there was a 'Secret Coin 2016 BATTERY' in the MAIN BATTERY Compartment -- on fitting a new one it works -- so he checked his OTHER CANON gear to see if he had the SAME Battery -- so here is a TIP for you !
