How to fix hotshoe adapter to tilt head?

I purchased a Calumet tilt head, and a hotshoe adapter off eBay (costswoldphoto) but how do I attach them together? It seems both have a 1/4 female thread - but there's no stud/screw supplied.

This one has adapters with female threads (for light stand spigots) at one end, and male threads for your purpose at the other.
