How to create lightroom collections?

I am not sure what is going on but I am trying to follow

When i follow the 2 methods of creating a new collection nothing happens? I've restarted a couple of times but nothing happens?

Has anyone encountered this and how did you recover from it?

You have to click on one of the CREATE options.

Well in that case a little window should open up.

unfortunatly nothing happens when i click create collection set or new collection

As soon as you click "Create Collection", you should get a pop up window. If you don't, this isn't normal behaviour.

Is that what's happening?
Are you on LR Classic and is it updated to the latest version?
What's your OS and is that updated?
Are you fully paid up with your sub and not working on an expired trial version?
You mention doing a restart - is that of LR or the whole computer?

I think we are sorted. it seems lightroom was doing something in the background. All of a sudden a few minutes ago about 15 create new collection windows just appeared....!
