How to clean mciro fibre cloths

Cleaning them has never worked for me. Bin them. They cost pennies anyway.

And no fabric softener, it coats the fibres and stops them absorbing water. If you used them on a car I would say use liquid washing stuff as well so that you don't get undisolved bits in the fibres but that isn't an issue. I have lots of microfibre cloths and they don't all cost peanuts.

Hand washing might be a better solution - that way you won't pick up any grease or detritus from the machine. Do make sure you rinse them thoroughly though :)

In a former life I was an Optician/spectacle maker, over the years I have dealt with 100's of these. Pentax cloths are by far the best. I have some that are over 20 years old and still going strong

Yup I just stick them in one of my trouser pockets and wash them as normal. Just no softener.

I used to get cloths made by Essilor but I don't seem to be able to get them any more. I tend to buy Boots spectacles cloths and lens cleaner fluid now coz they is cheap as chips :D

Bin them or use for other things.
