How to check if an Academy is accredited?

How would I go about checking if an Academy is accredited, or officially recognised?
Just looking at some Academies that offer NVQs, and some say they offer fast track NVQ level 2 for example, but I thought the NVQ no longer existed, been replaced by the RQF, or something.

I have been on the .gov website, but their only link is, Check if a university or college s officially recognised.

Thanks for the link, I have seen something similar. Not sure if the top link lists academies also. I did do a search of colleges that I know to be genuine, but some are not listed either. I will keep trawling anyway.
