How to attach flash to lightstand?

This may be a very newbie question, but I bought a manfrotto light stand adapter to hold an umbrella but now I'm unsure how to mount my flash?

Something like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cowboystudi...394492192&sr=8-3&keywords=hot+shoe+adapter+to would do the trick but can't believe I need to buy something else? Surely I'm missing something silly?

This is what you need, you have to remember a light stand is designed to mount a studio flash, which has a pivot and a brolly hole built in, so you need to add them.
