How to add gloss/shine to eyes?

I see a lot of photos where the eyes look shiny/glossy. I was wondering how this is achieved?

Usually by using a soft box, flash, or light from a window at the time the photo was taken.

Yes. I've seen Amy dresser describe a technique she called 'juicing up an eye ball' it's in one of her retouch pro videos.

It involved emphasising or adding a specular highlight at the bottom of the eye, where it meets the eye lid.

Try posting a picture up and I am sure someone will have a go for you - there are also tutorials in the tutorial section of the forum on enhancing eyes if you want to experiment
