Kinda scary.. earlier, I looked on the capture one website to see how much it was now. I never logged in or entered any information whatsoever.
I haven’t used capture one for probably 4 years, where I briefly dabbled with the free Fuji version, but I’ve never used this iPad, or even this internet connection in conjunction with any CO product.

As I got to the home page and clicked the price link, the website just stopped responding, so I closed the browser and forgot about it. I was on the site for less than a minute.

I just received this email..

How on earth do they know I visited, and how on earth do they have my email address tied to my visit? They probably have my email address from the Fuji product, but I can’t understand how they have linked this ip address with that product. I’ve moved house and moved internet providers since using the Fuji product, so there should be no link whatsoever.
very odd!

Well, well, well...

I've just this minute received exactly the same e-mail.

I haven't used Capture One for years.

Be interesting to get people's views of what's going on.

Id say blanket email to all listed on the mailing list, Capture One checks for updates when it opens so every user may have recieved an error message when using today so this is a preemptive email to all users past and present

They have sent it to everyone on their e-mail list.

How about that for a coincidence then. Haven’t even thought about capture one for years until today and then within an hour of visiting the site, I get that email.. and the website was broken.

I had the same email. I did have a trial version a few years ago so I expect I am still on their database.

Your fault obviously! ;)

There was a DNS server fault yesterday that knocked a number of sites offline, possibly including C1. It's too good an opportunity not to email their entire contact list without being accused of spamming.

Yes, I got the email too.
