How often do people replace there lens cleaning cloths?

I use one of the Spudz ones which come attached to the storage pouch and realised I've never cleaned it since buying it new a few years back.

After each use. (I use the lens tissues rather than microfibre cloths. I usually get a pack as a commercialmas gift, complete with a small bottle of cleaning fluid.)

If you do wash them, don't use anything with conditioner in it as it can leave residues that could smear. One good option is johnsons baby shampoo - you can buy small travel bottles if it that will do a lot of cloths!

Just say as it is ............ Scotch! :D

More likely to be Ouzo for me! Tends to leave a sticky residue on lenses so I use the IPA (Isopropyl alcohol rather than India Pale Ale!) for lenses.

lens tissues for me

How do you go about washing them? Hand wash? Washing machine with just water?

I usually stick my MF cloths in a pocket of my walking pants and then wash them as normal, in Nikwax Techwash. They always come out clean and grease free!

Think i have some of that left over from when my little girl was a baby. will give it a try and hand wash them

Cleaning

to tell you the truth, like someone else on here, I have had my 600mm set up on a tripod for about 2 months now ...... in the same position

My images have got really sharp the last two weeks, very pleased ........I had a look at the front of the lens yesterday, the 600mm has two big lens hoods ....... what did I find ....... a bloody great spiders web and cobwebs all over it

Wash mine regularly by hand using oxy.clean and boiling water in a bowl ,you can actually see the dirt and grease lifting off
