Pretty easy, well I learned on one so it can't be that difficult
and I still prefer the "button" layout to the 40D

Some people complain that its a little small, I have fairly large hands and never found it an issue, you could always add a grip if it became one for you though

My Kodak is only little so it wont be a problem

And I found it very easy to navigate

The manual says 128 shots to a 512mb card, so over 1000 on a 4gb
