How many keys on your key ring you've no clue what they're for?

Yes
Just looked at mine and from a grand total of 5,there are 2 I've no idea.

One looks like an up and over garage door key and Ive not had a garage since my last place. Might be time to pop back and have a peruse of what they've got stored there now. :troll:

I only have 2 keys on mine, both door keys, no car, no garage just outhouses...
But I do have a very big bunch that are what I call dead keys. Whole bunch and no clue whatsoever. My son uses them now as play stuff :)

Just my car and front door key and rfid token. Garage is linked to the car, the rest is labelled and in our key safe or utilises fingerprints.

Two keyrings and all keys accounted for. House keys and work tool chest key on one. Car steering wheel lock on another which is attached to the belt loop on my jeans. That is the only key I have left as I lost one a few weeks ago. Car remotes are kept separately and stay in my pockets permanently due to keyless entry.

None, I can account for every key and know what're they are for, even with my eyes shut I could find the right key !

3 keys on my key ring, 1 for front door, 1 for padlock on storage shed and 1 Radar key

Front door.
Back door.
Garage.
Work.
Car.
Boss' s front door.

No mysterious hangers on. :-)

I have three bunches of keys, one bunch for daily use, a spare bunch. Oh and a bunch from a former life, place I used to live and possibly an old girlfriends key on that one. I know what every key is for, no mystery keys :)

I have 3 sets of keys:
Set 1- Front Door, Car & Garage
Set 2 - rear patio doors, balcony doors and shed
Set 3 - roof bars, roof box and bike racks

However I do also seem to be collecting those barcode loyalty thingies, I am now up to 4 (why can't they be smaller)

Only the bare essentials are on my key ring, although I do have a f*** knows what these do, keyring as well,
Over the years I seem to have collected quite a few, none of them have been "used" over the past year or so, so I guess they could go in the bin.

And them 3 months later, I'll think now where did I put the key for "this"?

:D

^^^thats why ive started keeping my car key separate. The rest of the keys I use either weekly or monthly.

When we moved into our current house, we got a few bunches of keys. Helpfully one bunch was labelled for the porch, front door, back door and garage. Of the other two bunches, I worked out which went where but that still leaves a bunch of keys that dont open anything in the house.

I've only got the keys that I use on my Keyring. Got a pot with some random ones in though...

Except the portal to Hell, which you have yet to locate, clearly. :sneaky:

Got a stupid big fat key fob stuck to mine, loads of buttons to press. Makes the keys really clumsy and bulky to carry!

I inherited a bunch of keys at work, 12 keys and I've only ever used four of them. Nobody seems to know what the others are for but the powers that be insist I keep them because "they might be important" - so important they haven't been used in 7 years.

Streamlined: Bike + House.

I keep my work key separate so I can leave it at home when out on the p!ss. Because once I lost all my keys in the snow. Fortunately, before the boss found out, I found them 3 months later, when the snow had melted and I was pulling weeds up. Then I lost them again on a photo club trip. We stopped afterwards in one of the worlds biggest beergardens, with over 8000 seats, and they fell silently out of my pocket. I rang the beergarden the next day and someone had found them and handed them in. Yippee!

Can I have this weeks lottery numbers ? :D

Front and back door to flat block, both locks to the flat, and a bottle opener shaped like a key :)

Two key rings, each with one key on it (front door and car). I don't have any other keys that I need to carry, but there's an LED microlight on the car key ring too. Wife has the same arrangement but also has a small Spyderco on her house key ring.

Hmmm... House key, Mrs Nod's studio key, torch, £20 in a little container, wedge for wobbly tables and a spare clip for whichever vehicle I'm using's keys. All on a retractable chain.

wedge for wobbly tables
Sounds a good idea that but I'd leave the place and forget i'd put the wedge(and my keys) under the table leg, drive 20 miles back home and then go "Oh F***!"

I have more than 10 and i have no idea what are the four of them. I cannot throw them away either just in case. Had them more than 2 years. One day I will throw them away and there will be a need.

I do have more keys for various things but they stay in the "key drawer" until needed

Hardwood wedge from an offcut and a screw eye. Clips onto a spare clip on the ring. When I forget it, it takes about 2 minutes to make a new one! (And yes, that IS a "when" not an "if"!!!)

You use keys? How quaint :D
