Just wondering here, some maybe high, some low but whats your average shoot per game?

first 5/6 games i did my rate was at around 250/275 with over 100 being uploaded

yet at the weekend I shot approx 650

whats your normal rate when it comes to a game?

No real set number to be honest, depends entirely on the game and how much the flow comes towards me (or not). I do a lot of deleting in-camera (or on the laptop when I see an error in a downloaded shot I missed in-camera) to reduce the workload when sending live so my post match folders rarely tell the true story anyway.

I have now started to delete images during the games, those that are of no use so my take home count various from 250 up to 350 ish... But then I could shoot 500-600 the very next game... I can upload 150-250 images ...it really does vary that much.

I know one thing, I have tried to cut down on the number of shots i take, as post processing 5 or 6 games after the weeknd is a real ball ache !! This has also improved the quality of the shots as I am paying a lot more attention than I used to do when I first started out. 7 games and two team shoots this weekend gone. It kills the social life on a weekend.

ha ha im hitting about the same per match only problem with a 1d mk3 i found my images had almost doubled almost using a 8gb per game and most in the 1st half as the second half they slow down so not as much happening if that makes sense lol

I do delete pictures during games aswell

As mentioned it can depend on the game, just wondering what the average usually is and it makes interesting reading

When I first started it was like 'If it moves shoot it' and I was taking about 400-500 shots, but after listening to the advice of the pro's on here about not shooting players backs, or players running away from you etc etc I have cut down to around 250-300.

I took a shot the other week of a lineout on the otherside of the pitch, then I gave myself a rollocking for taking a shot I did not need to take .

Shooting Cricket can clog up a card pretty quick. Because every ball is a potential middle stump cartwheeling out of the ground. You aren't affording the luxury of relaxing until you can see the action is building. (other than sitting about for the 3 or 4 hours a match that is spent waiting for the ball to get back to the bowler!) You've got to shoot every ball. and sods law if you don't that's the killer wicket that you missed.

I've done this myself, When the final few overs are in play the excitement rises especially if it is a close one.

Its not too bad if the weather is good and you are being paid to be there but if there just for the fun of it, I guess it could get tedious...

488 last night at Chelsea. Sent 18.

That's a about normal for me.

To me its not about quantity but quality, all too often i see several togs upload over a hundred images to their website/portfolios but half of them are virtually the same, i even see some uploading every single image in a 8 frame burst and even backs of players.

I might upload 3 or 4 shots from the same burst but only if those franes tell a story, never of a player just running forward, one frame to the next has virtually no difference except the lead leg changing position, i would upload from a burst something like this, 1, player breaking a tackle, 2, player in the clear and defenders in his wake, 3, player diving over to score, 4, player celebrating the try.

Usually about 550-600 from which 40-50 get submitted, but the latter is down to requirement.
