Might be opening a can of worms here as I'm guessing there is no definitive answer but how long do you spend on post processing?

I appreciate the pros may spend longer depending on the type of image being taken but I was just curious. I'm still learning this side of photography and tend to fiddle around a lot until I get to a place where I'm happy. I don't like to alter images too much either.

Do you keep notes (or did you when you started) on the settings you'd use or did you just go ahead and create your own presets (haven't done this myself yet).

Has anyone purchased presets that many of the pros (again open to people's interpretation) on YouTube and such sell?

If I'm going for a certain style or look, it can be a while.

If it's just a general bit of post processing, takes me about 30 seconds per image. I still like my choices more than the camera with regard to shadows, highlights, contrast etc so I process everything I take. Haven't shot a jpeg since the first week I started learning photography.

I've found post processing has taught me a lot about exposure and intent too.

Yep, depends on what I'm editing and the lightning conditions. Two portraits taken at the same studio from different angles could take up different editing time: one would be polished with some Photoworks auto-correction in a click while the other would need a longer work.
