How long do you wait for the light?

You’ve pre-visualised a landscape shot in your head. You get on site, set up and wait. You’re waiting on that brief minute or two when a chink of light pushes through those dark clouds and falls like a spotlight on your chosen focal point. All you can do is sit and wait and be ready with the cable release when it happens.

Question is – how long do you wait before giving up and going home. Some might hang around for an hour or two whilst others might doggedly sit there all day in the hope of coming away with the shot they’re after. How much patience do you have?

Don't shoot a lot of landscape, but have waited at times all day,and gone back over time to get the shot or to get it in different light.

:)

Interesting blog Chris and you're dead right, of course.
