.......the internet.

Up here in the Isle of Skye where I am on holiday the broadband is a bit iffy
and have just been connected after 24 hours without it.

Now that has been 24 hours too long for me as it has become a part of my lifestyle not to mention being unable to pop into TP when I feel like it.

I am now a happy bunny, back to normal, surfing etc, with Mrs G having to put up with delayed responses from me now that I am back in "cyber world"

Btw it is raining here, to be expected, but lovely being able to look straight up from the laptop and view the Cullin hills.

you soon get used to not having it... and just think, no one will ever snub you if you're not on TP :D

on holiday it doesnt bother me. but if im at home and the internets not working i start going mental but when i eventuall get on i realise i just get bored after 5 mins anyway

i'm not that bothered at home. Its here at work on nights i use it the most being a lone worker. Also breaks boring parts of day up here and there. Holiday not bothered at all.

Simple answer.... I can't  The internet has become part of my daily life. Quite scary really!

I go stir crazy lol. I feel like I missed out on soooo much after just one day. I am going away in November for three days  WHAT AM I GOING TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Longest I have ever gone without it was 3 months. This was not easy. It was the summer holidays between years at Uni when I was at home with nothing else to do. So I didn't have other things to entertain me either. Not easy at all. :(

10Mb Cable at home now :D

The only reason I use the internet while on holiday is to communicate with family - and even then, it was only because Mum was desperately ill. Nothing on forums or elsewhere is more important to me than relaxing and catching up with real, flesh and blood friends.

last time i lost my connection, i thought never mind ill just google a pay as go dial up service to get me back online :bonk::bonk:

Been without it since my first post on this thread and could lose it at ant time, must admit I do not like being denied it.

don't worry about it, just enjoy your holiday and get out there with your 10-20mm and get some fantastic shots.

We'll still be here when you get back, maybe... :D
