How good is the Nikon 55-300mm ?

Hi as the title really , what do people think of the Nikon 55-300mm how dose it compare with the sigma or to the nikon 70-300mm vr I look forward to your comments.

From what I've read, the 70-300mm vr is much better. The 55-300 is still sharp, but very slow to autofocus, and only DX compatible, so may restrict usage in the future.

I've not used the 55-300, so can't talk from experience I'm afraid. If it was my money I'd go for the 70-300mm vr
