How fast is your Lightroom?

Just wondering how fast is your Lightroom. Im running Lightroom 3 on my macbook and its fine for general editing but when it comes to exporting its very very slow. Yesterday I edited about 120 raw files averaging about 14 meggapixels each and exported them as jpegs with a cap of 3 meggapixels as the maximum. It was painfully slow, Id guess it took around the 3 hour mark.

I didnt think it should take this long, anyone else experience it being slow on that version or other versions or is it faster for you?

what spec is the mac?

lightroom is cpu and disk intensive. for example when working with 5dmk2 raw moving from a intel core2 quad to an intel i7 was a massive improvement. a ssd followed and helped even more.
