Can someone tell me where and how far from Oxford is Donna Nook.?

I would love to go and see the seals and pup before I get house bound with the dog.

Thanks.

Wow, fair way away, :( may consider a journey later on. Could be done in a day if I got up early.

It is well worth a weekend away, can get quiet busy so early morning and late evening a good time to visit.

I drove from Oban to Pembroke in 10 hours including a stop (514 miles), have regularly driven bedford/notts and back in a day - so yes 178 miles is nothing and easily done in a day :)

thanks - will try to go this year

Briony I think if your not used to driving longish distances you maybe wiser to have a weekend/couple of days there, The ahh factor and walk to the surf can be quite tireing and if its cold (it can be very cold there) that takes it out of you as well so would make for a very long day.
I went last year for the day (Im Worcester about same distances) I know when I go again it will be a stay overnight trip.

Hi Nicki ..

You may have noticed that there is a TP meet at Donna Nook towards the end of this month .... Details here

Why not post and see if anyone going might want to car share etc?

Yep, saw that but the problem is that the dog will hopefully have been operated on by then and also I am working non stop from end of Nov to end of Dec so out of the question I am afraid, otherwise would have done it.

That is why I was asking about to go this week  as sort of free this week.

I've been twice. Both times I did it as day trips from London (near Heathrow, about 180 miles the short way and 250 the fast way) to arrive there for 730am before sunrise. Took about 3 hours (ish) each way from memory. Long drive but was worth it!

May go again this year. Given it a wide birth last two years due to increasing numbers of people etc
