Reading some of the replies to threads on TP, I get the distinct impression that people on are occasionally half drunk. Sometimes fully drunk even! This is particularly noticeable late on Friday and Saturday nights, and a little on Sundays too. This sometimes leads to people saying things that I’m not sure they don’t really mean.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for being drunk, and like nothing better than an hour or two on TP when I’m feeling ‘comfortably numb’ and free from the trials and tribulations of the real world.

So....

How about we have a range of little emoticons that would enable us to express our relevant state of inebriation at any given time? Then, if one of us does say something a little ‘off key’, we’d all know why.

I’m sure there’ll be someone arty enough on this site to sort something out, but here's some possibilities.

:) = lovely and cosy and feeling friendly

:gag: = Nearly gone!

:nuts: = Time for bed

Love that wicked sauce, problem is I'm 'over my limit' after 3 of anything :( then its time to stagger home.

I'm such a cheap date :lol:

It was freshers week for me almost 30 years ago and I still have a bit of a hang over now! :-)
 
Well, not drunk but had fine food from the local farm shop and a couple of glasses of very nice Merlot tonight, up early though and out into them there 'ills big bird hunting :)

Guilty of pished posting though !

Well i went to my local tonight and for a rare change had the landlord buying me pints... So here i am 5 hours later and still sober as a judge! (well almost) :D
 
friday night saturday night aand some sunday nights...

As suggested by Elmswood, let's call them 'Inebricons'. The perfect name for them.
