How do you size logos correctly for lightroom signature

I've uploaded a JPG into lightroom for my logo signature but it looks soft and smudged when the output jpg is generated. How do you know what size the uploaded logo should be and how will it scale up in larger outputs ?

It's a great idea but i'm struggling to get it working properly

Lightroom>Edit Watermark>Watermark Effects> set size to "proportional"
