How do the Canon 7D and 5D MK2 compare build quality wise?

I'm considering either the 7D or 5D MK2 and build quality is very important to me. I was told that both cameras are well built but the 5D Mk2 isn't weather sealed. Is this correct? Also would the 7D be good enough for professional use for a wedding photographer?
 
They both have some weather sealing, but not up to the standard of a 1D or your D2
 
A friend of mine owns a 5D mk2 which he was using in some moderate rain recently with a weather sealed 70-200mm lens. Everything seemed fine afterwards, but the wheel on the back of the camera did go a bit funny, as did the 'Set' button. As far as I know, all is well now, after a trip to the airing cupboard!

The 5D seems to be the de-facto wedding camera, along with possibly a 1D or 1Ds. The 7D would be pretty nifty in place of a 1D if you take price into consideration, but of course bear in mind the crop factor. It's handy for the longer lenses, but does sorta limit your abilities with the wide angles.

Something like the following would be ace, which covers most focal lengths (bearing in mind crop factors)

5D mk2 + 16-35L + 24-70L or 24-105L
7D + 70-200 f2.8

(Grabs camera, removes grip and peers at it.) Certainly no sign of a seal twixt camera and body.
 
...and that was a genuine reply. It may be that the body and grip are seperately sealed, but there would still be the possibility of water ingress into the battery contacts at least.
 
I recently bought a 7D had it for a few weeks and changed to a 5D MKII.

I must admit the Focus on the 7D was amazing 19 point AF and it was fast.
You obviously get closer to the action with the 7D because it's a crop sensor. But loose on the wide angle side of things.

I don't really think there is a huge difference in build quality between the two.
I did not notice anyway.
My reason for changing was simply because you get better results at high iso on the 5D MKII. Better image quality. And of course it's Full Frame.

I've left my 7D lying in snow, used it in torrential rain and it hasn't missed a beat. Can't speak for the 5DII as I don't have one but I regularly put my 7D and 1DIV through similar pain and they've both survived
 
Honestly speaking they seem virtually identical in the hand. The 7D possibly takes it, but there really isn't anything in it.
