How do I add watermarks to my photos?

I need to know how to add watermarks to my photos for my website! Also would that be the same way as adding watermarks to my photos which I put on a dvd for couples to view?

If you don't have any processing software at the moment, Google's Picasa is free and does this.

for lightroom download Mogrify - it's FREE and allows you to add a graphic watermark - LR itself allows a text watermark In CS2 - create a new file with a transparent b/g - add your txt/graphic and save - bring your pics into PS - and drag your WM file on top. - re-save! Job done. MUCH faster in LR!
