Yes
Is there any way to watch all the MotoGP races, ie not just the main race, but Moto3 etc without paying for a year's worth of Sky or whatever ?
I have no interest in almost any other sport aside from F1 nor do I feel the need for another bunch of 'nothing on' channels. Does Now TV or any of the other services do this ?
I had a look last year, got nowhere, and am very glad I didn't take out a subscription given what happened..
Thanks for any help !

I thought BT Sport had the rights to Moto GP.
I believe they do, and we have a BT box which we don't really use as it messes with my stereo. It also only shows a few minutes of the support races.
I'd happily cancel that part of my BT and pay for something else - I'd also like to be able to watch more of the F1 season.

BT Sport shows all the three categories in practice, qualifying and race. Damn shame it messes with your stereo though.

You can sign up to the MotoGP stream directly (via motogp.com). It says you can:

Watch Live and OnDemand VideoPass content on PC, Mac and Smartphone via specific applications for iPad and Android tablets and on connected TV (Roku, AppleTV, AndroidTV or FireTV)

The cost is £175 for the whole year.

When I lived in the US I used the VideoPass as it was the only way I could see the races at the time.

Doesn't Channel 4 show the races (and support races) on the monday or Tuesday?

BT Sport show everything live, including qualifying on Saturday and all three races on Sunday. A subscription to just the BT Sport app can be cheaper, then just get a Chromecast or something similar and cast from your phone to your TV. Works really well. Most recent Samsung TVs have the app built right into the TV so I just use that. Can't speak for other TV manufacturers but I'd imagine most of the big names also offer this.

Sky can be pretty cheap, around £20 a month when they have offers on and you can just add the F1 channel on top of that, you don't need to take all of Sky Sports. Sky F1 actually shows a lot of other motorsport as well, including Indycar, GT World Challenge, F2, F3 and Porsche Supercup. They also show a lot of classic F1 races, particularly in the week before each round. Not just highlights either mostly, the full race.

You can buy Sky Sports day passes on NowTV but it's £10 a go so it's an expensive way of doing it. Sadly if you want to watch most sport now you have to take pay TV, there is no other way.

can you watch these on a laptop and connect to your TV with an HDMI cable?

BT Sport you could but it's much better to get a Chromecast and do it all wirelessly. Sky wouldn't let you, they really want you to pay for TV so anything you view online via their apps can't be sent external to the device you're on.

Thank you all for your replies and help - much appreciated !
I guess I should have added that I'd like to record races etc so I can watch them at my leisure, ie when the family aren't around.
I have never read the manual or had a proper look at my BT box, but it appears I can record onto it.

The idea of connecting my laptop appeals, as it's within my level of competency -

So can I record them onto it (the laptop) ?
Again, I really appreciate the help, thank you !

i don't think you will be able to record them without some software which could be hooky.
but just connecting the laptop to the TV should work fine.
