Got my stand and now my roll of vinyl. However, how do I stop the vinyl roll unravelling? I have a lencarta background support, and a small 1.6 x 4m roll. Want to keep approximately 5 turns unrolled.

There are a couple of plastic clips with the support but can't see how they would help.

I use a couple of plastic DIY clamps, like this:

experiment with where to clamp it, otherwise it can leave folds/creases in the vinyl that can be an issue if you're shooting grey or colours as opposed to white or black.

Make sure you buy flat pronged clamps without serrated edges so that your seamless or items being held are not damaged

yup, I use those for paper rolls too and all sorts of things, cheap as chips too.

where is the best place to buy them from please.
Thanks

Tescos!!!

Have a shoot booked tomorrow and was hoping to use my new backdrop but didnt fancy a trip to Homebase in town. Luckily I have a large Tesco Extra 2 miles away and they had them - look identical to pics above and £1.99 each!

Try the local pound store. They have them for ridiculously low prices. Same item at B&Q was £4.99 last week when I looked
