This is terribly over process shot, very dirty and lacking lots in areas....but I do like it and it is very personal, so I was wondering if I'd learn some useful stuff if I asked you guys to show me what you can do please.

What would you do with it?

Feel free to do whatever..

Large vertion for editing here.

Thanks

I'd print it off and say I took it ;)

I love the processing and feel on this mate. Great shot to my mind.

I really like it.

It gives the feel it was taken in the late 30's/early 40's so maybe I would be tempted to make it a little grainer as though it was taken with an old film camera.

If I ever find something borked beyond repair the best thing you can do is try to make a feature of it :D

Hmm, yeah I like that Ng, what did you do? in briefs okay bud. ...still looks noisy though yeah?

Sorry mate I missed this and forgot to answer,

Yes it is still noisy I did one where I run the image through Define 2 and it cleaned up the noise fine but it lost some thing in the process, you know how it is.. it became evident that the noise had been removed so I thought I would leave as is, and maybe inject a little more in the process.

All I have basically done is run the image through PS so i could run the Silver Efex pro filter on it, then I have made sure the red filter is selected and upped the contrast slightly then i have increased the structure within the filter.

It produced this shot...

Hope that helps...

Nigel

Thanks Nigel, kinda helps, although your using software I don't use. .. so a little hiccup in my plan their!

I've seen the finish I'm after before...looks a bit like they've used high pass filter to aid reduce the noise whilst keeping edge definition somehow. I ''ll tinker later and see what I can brake....
