how big a canvas is possible?

:thinking:Done a google search and the biggest i can find is still rather small - think it was 20" by 60" or something

i want something really big. like 100cm by 300cm.

does anyone know anyone who can print this and have it sent? i suppose the sending bit is the problem?

what is the biggest people have done?

I have a sign company we buy canvas by the 30 mtr roll by 1370mm wide

for cost effectiveness 1330 print width is good :)

The largest photograph we have done was 4.5 mtrs x 1.3mtrs which
was printed onto banner material we rolled it up took it out to Turkey
last christmas for friends who were opening the new village restaurant
Adam built a frame for it and placed a light behind the sun it really is
very effective the photo was taken from the mountain at the back of the
village looking out towards Simi, the stag was superimposed on it

interesting, I've a 2.5m x 1m pano of Yosemite that I've been looking at getting printed :)
 
Like Gromit says, the largest width roll of canvas is just shy of 1.4m. Other than that you can print the length of the roll! Removed. Sorry we do not allow commercial self-promotion.

Gromit, glad you said that stag was super-imposed otherwise it would be like Stagzilla!!! Looks great though :)

naughty advertising aside(£30 per thread, invoices to both of you?) you canvas printers are lightweights. I can do up to 1.5m wide, and up to 5.0m long (longer in fact)
 
Sorry Matty I was not advertising, we only print the canvas we don't make up
frames & I have only bought canvas for printing on for friends and relatives.
I was only trying to be informative.
I would like to add that I would not recomend printing canvases too large
not my field of expertise but I think you would be forever having to tighten
them onto the frames as the material will expand & contract with different
temperatures changes

Harvey for a print that size you would be better having it printed onto
digital vinyl which is then matt laminated and fitted onto reynobond
or reverse fitted onto perspex, then use the satin or stainless steel locators
to mount onto the wall, we do these for commercial customers and exhibitions.
contact a local signmaker (make sure they have a wide format digital Printer)
they should be a fraction of the cost that you would pay photographic print
studios.
