Hot Pixel Problem?

I'm hoping someone may be able to help me - I've just noticed a tiny white cross appearing in exactly the same place on all my images (Nikon D80). There is only one & I Have to zoom right in on-screen to see it. BUT...now I know it's there it's really annoying.
Does anyone recognise this as a hot pixel or could it be something else? Anyone had any success in solving the problem? I'm sure it won't affect any prints, but any thoughts welcome.

Short answer is send it to a service centre or live with it I think.

O.K. I'm jumping the gun a bit - have not checked the other links - here but I had some on my 350D after I did some night time long exposures.

They showed up in a few daytime shots afterwards and then seemed to have sorted themselves out.
