Right, been doing a bit of research on these two lenses for Pentax.

Sigma 70-200 f2.8 Ex DG HSM II macro

Tamron SP 70-200 f2.8 LD Di

There due out in the spring time or later.Anyone know or heard different ,would appreciate any kinda feedback .

I've only seen and heard good things about the Sigma when used with Canon bodies. Performance is stated to be the equal of Canon's own with a drop in build quality.

Pentax users will be in the minority here and everywhere. I don't think it's a quality issue though and I was a Pentax film user for 25 years. They were too slow off the mark with Digital bodies and most serious people had bought into a Canon or Nikon system before Pentax woke up. The problem they now have is keeping the price of a low volume production run at a reasonable level whilst enough new people come in at the bottom end.
